Great Garden Guide
Kim Wilde and garden historian Dr Toby Musgrave seek out the most stunning ardens in the West of England. From Hidcote to Prior Park, and from Barrington Court to Mill Dene, the series is an armchair guide to some of the most beautiful gardens in the West, all of which are open to the public.
Over eight episodes, Kim and Toby travel throughout Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Avon and a few places a little further afield in search of horticultural heaven. The gardens featured blend traditional with modern, formal and informal, large and small. In each location they meet the gardeners or owners for a guided tour, discovering how the garden was designed, the history and the pedigree of key plants and trees. And the people they meet will have one thing in common - they are passionate about gardening and about plants.
Broadcast on ITV1 in the West of England from February 16 to April 6, 2003.
